Gospel Life says goodbye. ❤️
It is with both sad and hopeful hearts that we are announcing the end of our chapter as Gospel Life Church. After much prayer and seeking the Lord together, we’ve come to the conclusion that God is leading GLC toward being adopted into a new church family.
For several years, we’ve had the privilege of being Gospel Life Church. We’ve worshiped, prayed, served, laughed, cried, shared the gospel, welcomed people, baptized believers, and watched God do more than we could have imagined.
Now, the chapter ends of our being Gospel Life Church and a new chapter begins as we join the family of Harbor Church.
This isn’t the end of the work God began here. The words may change, the name may change, and the church family may look different—but the mission continues. We’re excited to see what God will do as He brings these two church families together.
To everyone who has called Gospel Life home: we want to say thank you. Thanks for trusting us, serving with us, giving, praying, inviting your friends, loving your neighbors in Delano, and faithfully following Jesus with us. It truly has been a gift.
To everyone who has walked through our doors—even for a short time—you are part of our story and we are so very thankful to God for you!
And to the many people, churches & orgs who have supported Gospel Life—You have faithfully prayed for us, encouraged us, and generously given to help us carry out the mission—thank you. We’re not here without you and we could never fully express how much it has meant to us to know we’re not alone. God used your faithfulness to help make ministry possible, and we are deeply grateful.
To our Delano neighborhood and to Wichita, thank you for letting us be a small puzzle piece in the makeup of this community. It has been an incredible privilege to serve, and trust us, we don’t intend to stop serving as God allows.
We do want to invite you to join us as the journey continues. One way is to Come be part of what God is doing through our new church family, Harbor Church — Harbor Church Wichita KS. Another is to continue praying for us as we exist between the tension of sadness for the “what could have been” and the excitement for the “what could be”. Thank you!
We close this chapter with grateful hearts, knowing one thing for certain:
God has been faithful through all of it.
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you… because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion…”
