Community Outreach Meal
On the 4th Sunday each month, we host and serve a meal for our neighbors from 11:30a-1:30p. We invite you to take a look and partner with us in meeting tangible & spiritual needs that leads toward gospel ends. You can partner with us by giving towards these efforts or also by coming and serving with us on a Sunday.

Here’s a personal story of how serving at these meals has impacted me and our community: “I was helping people find their way to the serving table, when I saw this man standing off to the side. I went over to him and asked him if he’d like to follow me to get a plate… he started crying and I asked him how I could pray for him, and he just looked at me and said, i am just so happy I get to eat today. I haven’t been able to eat in a few days. I prayed with him and we were able to send him home with some extras as well!” — Rachel
I love how we come together for a wonderful cause. It gets me and my husband out of our comfort zones. We love serving others & seeing the power of God at work in others. I love what God has done so far and how many lives have been changed I hope it continues to grow and expand!— Karen
This meal has given me the opportunity to serve alongside others and meet a need in our community. It allows us to spread the love and joy of Jesus. This has created a joy in our church family that flows into the everyday. Furthermore, its created a deeper community and connection. I have personally spoken to some who originally came out of a need for a meal and now come to enjoy the company and hospitality. — Derek
The Community Outreach Meal has both impacted myself and my family by giving us joy and gratitude in all we have in Jesus. It has shown us all God has in GLC and our unique place in Delano. With serving at the meal, God has opened a deeper love and servant’s heart in myself for others. I thank God for the grace to serve the in the place God has placed us. — Carly
I have seen this meal impact our community through creating deeper friendships with those in our neighborhood. This has been accomplished by a monthly meal and meeting real needs. I have seen people come to Christ because of this meal. It is a staple locally and benefits the community greatly. — Levi
This meal gives our family the chance to serve together and actively work to take Jesus to the people of our city. In the times of putting out yard signs, to holding the signs on the street to direct people to our meal, I have had the opportunity to demonstrate to my son that our faith in christ requires more than just sitting in a church building on Sundays. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing my wife and daughter engage with our guests while serving them food, reflecting the love of Jesus to people they wouldn’t normally rub shoulders with during the week. Yes the meal meets a tangible need in our community, but the opportunity to disciple your kids through serving together is another huge benefit from this ministry. — Ryan
